Why you end up flunking your exams
It's not what you think it is
So you studied really well for your exams,
Revised everything the night before, went through all your notes,
Even sacrificed your usual routine,
All so you could go ahead and achieve a sub-par performance.
This is the harsh cold reality of so, so many people who,
Regretfully, wish they could’ve gotten a second chance.
But here’s the truth…
Timing is everything.
Not respecting the time you have in your hands,
Only leads to mediocrity.
So what CAN you do about it?
Watch out for the last one, it’s by far the most crucial piece of advice we’ve given everyone.
It’s simple!
𝗥𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗲 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝟭𝟰 𝗱𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝗯𝗲𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗲𝘅𝗮𝗺𝘀.
If you don’t know what you’re really doing, down to the T,
Then why even do it?
Do you think this sort of uncertainty is what leads to any form of success?
𝗠𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗽𝘁𝘀 𝟳 𝗱𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝗯𝗲𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗲𝘅𝗮𝗺𝘀.
Like I said,
Timing is everything.
Your brain needs time to move information from your short-term memory
To the part of your brain that actually retains the information that enters it.
𝗦𝗼𝗹𝘃𝗲 𝗾𝘂𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗹𝘆𝘇𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗮𝗻𝘀𝘄𝗲𝗿𝘀.
I’m sure you’ve heard of this before, but,
That doesn’t make it any less true.
Practice makes perfect.
No other way around it.
𝗔𝗻𝗮𝗹𝘆𝘇𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗮𝗻𝘀𝘄𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝗽𝗮𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀.
You need to know what mistakes you’re making, so you can get better.
You don’t need big concepts and even bigger words to describe them.
So here are some simple questions YOU can ask yourself, after every test
What keywords did I miss?
Why did I get the marks I got?
Have I gotten better marks in the past?
How do I get better marks in the future?
𝗚𝗲𝘁 𝗮 𝗴𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗻𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁'𝘀 𝘀𝗹𝗲𝗲𝗽 𝗯𝗲𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗲𝘅𝗮𝗺.
This is by far,
The most overlooked,
And also the most crucial one of them all.
When you don’t sleep, your brain regards your condition as stressful.
This only leads your brain to erase information,
That you haven’t already stored into the ‘memory-retention’ part.
Moreover, it more than greatly,
Increases your chances of making silly errors.
I’m sure, that as a student,
There’s nothing worse than making a mistake on a question you know how to solve.
So, how do you expect to perform while not getting a good night’s rest?
At LC,
We specifically address exactly these issues,
Often overlooked by both students, and faculty.
And as I said,
Timing really is everything.
If you made it this far,
Then what are you waiting for?
