Hi Learners and Parents,

We’ve been working a lot behind the scenes - in silence - to bring to you something great.

Learners’ Club provides signature, personalized learning experiences to bridge one’s learning challenges and learning goals.

But, what do we even mean by this?

In this piece, I will break down exactly how the LC Method works.

A Learner’s Journey at LC

Every learner here starts at the same point - a Learning Audit.

This is where us as mentors sit down with learners and parents to create a learning plan.

At a learning audit, we look out for three aspects.

  1. Learning Challenges - “As a learner, what are you struggling with?”

  2. Learning Goals - “By the end of the academic year, what do you want to achieve?”

  3. Strengths and Weaknesses - “What subjects do you study? What are you great at? What do you struggle with?”

Let’s take an example

This is a learner who came to us recently.

  • Grade: 10 (going to 11th)

  • Subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics

  • Goals: Wants to figure out what to do after 12th (Very clear that medical is not an option!)

  • Challenges: Concept clarity, struggling to find a path.

There are a lot of clues within just this information that allows us to create a solid plan.

  1. “Very clear that medical is not an option”

My aim for this learner, then, becomes introducing different technical and research-based programs and domains.

  1. “Struggling to find a path.”

At this age, it is normal, in fact, expected, to not know what path to take going forward. At the initial stage, we aim to: -

  • Explore the learner’s interests.

  • Solidify basic understanding.

  • Eliminate distractions

The path ahead

To complete the learning plan, we will first conduct an aptitude test.

Learners usually inform us about their strengths and weaknesses with each subject, but we want to quantify them.

An aptitude test allows us to understand: -

  • What concepts the learner struggles with?

  • Whether they struggle with understanding or applying the concept?

  • To what extent can a learner push themselves?

  • How can we best guide this learner?

After obtaining the results, we create a monthly goal sheet - to allow us to break our learning goal down into small, achievable chunks.

These goals usually include conceptual clarity, application, competitive exam preparation, and profile building.

We support these via our Learning Programs and 1:1 Mentorship.
